Shane and Ashley had planned their wedding day with hopes of photography happening at an outdoor location between the ceremony and the reception. The week of the wedding, we came to realize that this was not likely to happen. Not because of the usual rain or snow that Ohio likes to throw at us. This time, August first, was slated to be the hottest day of the year, reaching a heat index of 101 degrees. Thankfully, we worked together to create a contingency plan, and the good folks at the Ohio Statehouse worked quickly to schedule us in for a session inside the beautiful, historic building. Even walking up the walk from the road to the Statehouse was enough to have us dripping in sweat! In the end of it all, some effective planning and adjustment made for a memorable experience and great photos!
